Our Team

BSF Mixed Ventures Ltd was born out of resilience, shared struggle, and a deep desire to create change within the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement. As refugees and members of the host community, our team has experienced firsthand the daily challenges of food insecurity, unemployment, and limited opportunities. What began as small conversations among passionate individuals determined to find practical solutions slowly grew into a unified vision for a better, more sustainable future.

Starting this initiative was not easy. With little access to funding, limited resources, and the uncertainties of life in the settlement, every step required courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. We relied on trust, teamwork, and the belief that even in the most difficult circumstances, innovation can thrive. Through persistence, we transformed locally available knowledge and simple ideas like Black Soldier Fly farming into a powerful model for change.

Today, our team is made up of dedicated, skilled, and purpose-driven individuals who are committed to empowering others. We are more than just a team we are a family united by hope, working together to restore dignity, create opportunities, and build a self-reliant community.
